CONNECTING THE RESERVE AND LAKE KEOWEE.
Few corners of the world are as untouched and lush as South Carolina’s Lake Keowee. Within a radius of 75 miles, there are a million protected acres of forest. As the headwaters of four rivers and the home to countless waterfalls, this is a mountaintop Eden. So special is this area that it is one of only two places in the world where the wild Oconee Bell grows.

In this area of breathtaking beauty, you’ll enjoy miles of hiking trails within The Reserve. 5 1/2 miles of trails are already blazed including a half-mile stroll along our private 200-Slip Marina. Using our comprehensive Trail Map, online Trail Journal, or with the guidance of our Naturalist, you can follow paths once walked by the Cherokee, search for over 75 different varieties of birds, and marvel at a waterfall as it cascades to the lake.
